– A Dutch, or possibly Germanic plug bayonet, with a 425mm lenticular two edge blade with gilt decoration applied to each face. Dating from 1680-90 and probably a Military officer's.
With an iron crossguard and ferrule and the blade tang peened over an iron pommel cap. With a hardwood grip, carved decorations to the swell
and lined decoration circling the swell and grip. A repair to the grip that would benefit from proper treatement.
